Be ready to provide your own personal details - are you buying alone or with someone else? If you're a seller, you'll be asked for the address of the property you're selling and your home address if that is different. Buyers will be asked for their current address and the address of the property they intend to buy.

Details of conveyancing costs

Where you've already arranged your mortgage for a purchase, we'll ask for details of the lender. If you're a first-time buyer using Help to Buy, you'll need to give us all the information on the scheme you're using.

We ask sellers who owns the property, whether it is leasehold or freehold and if there is a mortgage to be repaid.

The quote we provide will detail the cost of the legal fees as charged by the conveyancing solicitor. Every transaction must pay VAT, so our quote always includes that tax.

We also detail in full all disbursements and fees that you can expect to pay. These will include bank transfer fees and Stamp Duty Land Tax where appropriate (Land Transaction Tax in Wales).
